For Moms who are and were Geeks
Since I haven't seen anyone post about Halloween yet, I thought I would.|
My kids. My daughter Virginia (9) was Lady Sif from the Thor movie. I made her a winged helm and a scabbard for the sword we added. My son Sam (6) as a Clone Trooper. He didn't use the helmet because it messed with his glasses. And my daughter Natalie (6) was Zita the Spacegirl (www.zitathespacegirl.com). I made this costume myself. She made one request: to change the Z on the shirt into an N.
So, what did other kids dress up as?
We had Agatha from Girl Genius, Tron complete with the EL wire and a glowing disk, Bobba Fett, and Dora the Explorer.
Unfortunately the geek quotient at school was a bit low so only one person recognized Agatha, and no-one under 30 recognized Tron, though lots of people loved the glowing EL wire.
I saw a Tron kid at my kid's school dance! Also a Neo (and, gracious, that kid's gonna be a heartbreaker when he grows up, if he keeps looking that good in a trenchcoat), and an Alucard.
Mine was a Mad Scientist. So was another kid!
Husband, 8.5mo son, and I went as Batman, Batbaby, and Batwoman, respectively.
They are really cute! :-D And look SOOO happy with their costumes!
This is excellent!
My Eldar Daughter is a spook at the Dorney Haunt again this year, so did not get to dress up for Hallowe'en. Younger Daughter had her traditional Hallowe'en Trick or Treat Party, and went as a ghoul. No pictures of that
